Patrick Mahomes is keen to avenge his Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles as he sets an example for the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs to follow, already working to make sure his body is in optimal condition for the 2025/26 NFL season.
The 29-year-old is busy sharpening his game, diving into offseason training with a renewed sense of urgency, as he is back to work with his longtime trainer, Bobby Stroupe, and gives his fans an encouraging update.
Stroupe, the founder and president of the Athlete Performance Enhancement Center (APEC), has worked with the quarterback since he was a child and posting a small clip of his client with the caption, “Phase 1: Pattern stability.”
In the clip, Mahomes maintains a straight line from head to heels, as he balances on one hand and the opposite foot. He is targeting core strength and stability in Phase 1 of exercises, which could benefit his centre of gravity to make more accurate throws and make him tougher to sack.
Mahomes backs up Super Bowl loss commitment
Mahomes will also likely focus on movement literacy, force absorption, force transmission, pattern stability, tissue resiliency, mobility, stability, and flexibility to ensure he’s in the best shape possible for his team.
The NFL star generally trains 4-5 days a week in the offseason to make sure he keeps his ideal physique. Although some to try decry it as a “dad bod”, Stroupe adds that his player’s look is intentional.
The 14% body fat tends to aid durability instead of being focused on making him look like a model.
Either way, Mahomes is making sure he backs up his post-Super Bowl talk after he took responsibility for the defeat and vowed to work harder and learn more about the game to bring back glory to Missouri.
And this pain is indeed fuelling him to work on a better prospect in the future as he has already begun offseason training, sending forth a clear message, that there’s no time for excuses.
