After that picture of Dak Prescott walking on a boot wrapped around his right ankle, Dallas Cowboys fans were extremely concerned that he possibly suffered a new injury. Some reports even claimed that he picked it up during his vacation trip in Cabo San Lucas. Hoever, Dak Prescott just spoke to a journalist to clarify the reason he was wearing that boot. As we told you, the hot weather in Cabo San Lucas can be very taxing on the body and especially on joints that suffered injuries in the past. As you may recall, Dak Prescott suffered a compound fracture in his right ankle about four years ago during a game against the New York Giants. Since then, he hasn’t recovered at 100% and needed rehabilitation constantly.

Is Dak Prescott really injured?

After the picture went viral because multiple NFL journalists shared it on their social media, the fans were demanding answers from Dak Prescott. As it turns out, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback did not suffer any new injuries. However, he did confirm that the same fracture from four years ago tends to cause him some issues that makes him wear a boot. Nothing serious at alll, according to Dak himself. Journalist Clarence Hill from the Fort Worth Star-Telegra approached Dak personally and got a couple of quotes from him. When asked about the ankle, Dak said: “The same ankle, same issues. I’m great.”

So at the end of the day, the picture was actually a false alarm and nothing really terrible happened to his ankle. But a lot of people are now aware that Dak PRescott does have the always present pain from that past surgery. Given that he will entre the final year of his contract, getting a new contract will be one of the most talked-about topics amongst Dallas Cowboys fans. With a new season right around the corner, it should be interesting to see how well Dak Prescott performs and how fithe returns to the pre-season training camp.
