During Tom Brady’sNetflix Comedy Roast, one of the funniest sets coming from a non-comedian was Drew Bledsoe’s. The former quarterback is the man whose job was taken by Brady when he started his NFL career. All he needed was one chance and Bledsoe suffered an injury that sealed his future at the New England Patriots. But Drew was a great sport about what happened, he even developed a close relationship with the young Tom Brady who was about to take over the world. Bledsoe’s relationship with Brady was so special that h was always praised by Tom inside his household. Ex wife Gisele Bündchen made this very clear the first time they met at a skii trip in Montana.

Bledsow was recently at the ‘Up & Adams’ show to talk about how he met Gisele when she was still married to Tom Brady. He said: “Obviously, we were skiing different places because he can’t ski for s-t. I was going to come in hot and spray Tom. Well, of course, as I come in to spray Tom, I miss and just cover Gisele [Bündchen] in snow, and we have never met. So Tom looks at me like it’s go time, you don’t mess with my wife — or at least back then you didn’t. Sorry, Gisele, nice to meet you. She leans over and gives me this great big hug and later on we see them at dinner, Gisele says to me ‘You know, I normally don’t give people great big hugs when I first meet them, but you don’t understand how you are talked about in our house.'”

Bledsoe and Brady have a brotherly relationship

That reaction from Gisele Bündchen right there is one of the main reasons Drew Bledsoe was one of the former NFL players who was part of Tom Brady’s comedy roast. When the young Tom arrived at the team, Drew could’ve easily been a terrible teammate to the kid who took his job as the Patriots’ starting quarterback. But no, Drew was always a gentleman despite the circumstances. Those words from Gisele confirmed the love and respect these two have. “It was an incredibly cool and very genuine conversation, and there’s always great mutual respect between the two of us. We haven’t gotten to hang out since the last time we got to hang out, and that was a number of years ago.”
