NBA legend Dwyane Wade found himself loving the performance from LSU Tigers star Flau’jae Johnson at the 2024 ESPY Awards earlier this week.
Despite being an up-and-coming basketball star, the 20-year-old Johnson is also a musician and she did a live performance of one of the hits from her album, titled ‘Best of Both Worlds’.

She’s a vital contributor for the Tigers, averaging 14.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game during her sophomore season in Baton Rouge, but she’s explained that she’s also focused on her music career.
Wade thrilled by the show
Wade was very happy with what he saw from Johnson on stage. “You bodied this!” Wade said in response to a video posted of Johnson’s viral performance.
Johnson currently has two albums: “4 My Fans,” which was released in 2023, and “Best of Both Worlds” from 2024.
This was one of the much lighter moments at the ESPYs, with other moments proving to be a lot more controversial.
Serena Williams was the host and the tennis legend was the host of the awards and she was on stage with her sister, Venus Williams and comedian Quinta Brunson, and she sharply criticized Chiefs football player Harrison Butker for comments he made during his commencement speech at Benedictine College a couple of months ago.
The Williams sisters presented one of the awards dedicated to women’s sport and Venus commented: “Enjoy women’s sport, it’s sport too” to which her sister remarked: “Everyone but you Harrison Butker; we women don’t need you”; and Brunson closed by saying: “Absolutely not, we never have.”
