Things are bad in New York and they are looking even worse for the Giants, as their star defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence is done for the year. During their loss against the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL Thanksgiving traditional game, he suffered a devastating blow.
After the injury report came in, it was determined that the player has a dislocated elbow and that is the reason why he won’t play again this year. Lawrence said after the game he would try and play through the injury but the team prevented that from happening.
This was confirmed by head coach Brian Daboll at his Friday press conference as he does not want to put his player in jeopardy in the future after this injury suffered with a team that is going nowhere.
Bad year in New York
The Giants are in trouble as they continue their struggles and there is no sign of them getting better anytime soon. They just parted ways with their starting quarterback as Daniel Jones requested being released.
The loss to the Cowboys puts them dead last in the over all season record list and they are battling for that number one pick in the upcoming NFL draft, one that might be used to get a new signal caller.
Injuries and bad execution has been constant for a team that many believed could have competed but sit dead last in the NFC East and might need some restructure in the front office as well.
