This Thanksgiving, Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving stole the spotlight off the court with a heartwarming gesture that resonated across social media.
True to his word, Irving surprised streaming sensation Kai Cenat by visiting his ongoing Mafiathon 2, an event that has captivated millions of viewers over the past month.
Kai Cenat, who has been streaming non-stop since November 1, was left stunned when Irving walked into his mansion on Day 28 of the marathon.
The NBA star’s unannounced arrival wasn’t just a casual drop-in-it was a testament to the bond between the two. Irving’s visit fulfilled a heartfelt promise he made days earlier, proving he’s a man of action as well as words.
Kyrie’s heartfelt message
Irving‘s connection with Kai goes deeper than just fandom. A few days prior, Cenat shared a text he received from the eight-time NBA All-Star while live streaming.
“Keep being great and putting God first, brother. It’s amazing to see you uplift others on your platform with kindness. That’s what life is about-helping others and still having fun being you,” Irving said.
“If you have any openings where I can stop by and say what’s up, let me know.”
Cenat, known for his high-energy antics and star-studded guest list, has hosted big names such as Snoop Dogg and Andre Iguodala during the Mafiathon. But Irving‘s visit stood out, bringing a personal touch that left viewers and fans buzzing.
“Kyrie is so misunderstood I’ll never forgive the media for how they tried to ruin his career back in 2021,” a fan wrote on X.
Another added: “It’s good to have different ppl on the show because you get lucky sometimes and get this.”
“Best one yet Kyrie is so well spoken man,” a third noted.
A growing friendship
Irving and Cenat‘s friendship has been steadily growing over the years. In 2022, Irving credited Cenat and fellow streamer YourRage for introducing him to the streaming world.
When Cenat faced a temporary Twitch ban, Irving even stepped back from his own Twitch activities in solidarity.
