Luka Doncic was reunited with the Mavericks for the first time since Dallas decided to trade him to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis.
With a Crypto.com Arena packed to the rafters for the revenge game, up to $15,000 was paid for courtside seats, Doncic did not disappoint and in the first half he scored 12 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists, leaving him three assists short of a triple-double before the break.
Doncic missed his first shot of the game, but started to heat up midway through the first quarter.
First, he hit a three-pointer over two defenders and stared at the Mavericks’ bench to celebrate.
That basket was eventually overturned because the replay showed that he went out of bounds.
On the next possession, Luka hit another three-pointer, forcing a Dallas timeout as Doncic yelled in the direction of the Mavericks’ bench and continued to stare defiantly at his former team.

The Lakers ended up winning the game 107-99 against the Mavericks and Luka Doncic achieved his first triple-double dressed in purple and gold.
Doncic finished the night with 19 points (5 of 10 shooting from two, 1 of 7 from three and 6 of 8 free throws), 15 rebounds, 12 assists, three steals, two blocks and two turnovers in 35 minutes.
