Before Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green turned the Golden State Warriors into perennial title contenders, the franchise only experienced short periodic success.

Although they didn’t end up winning the title in 2007, the Warriors made everyone fall in love with them when they took down the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in six games in the first round. They were dubbed the “We Believe Warriors“.

We Believe Warriors partied with Snoop Dogg and other celebrities

NBA veteran Matt Barnes was a big part of that team, and he recently told a fantastic story about celebrating the series win over Dallas in a party filled with celebrities, including Snoop Dogg.

We’re back there smoking joints with Woody Harrelson, it was unbelievable. We go to the club and then Snoop (Dogg) hits us. So we went to the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco, we go in there… Snoop would roll a motherf***er up and pass it, so at one point we have three or four blunts our hands… these motherf***ers unscrewed the window so the smoke would get out.

Barnes and his teammate, Stephen Jackson, thought hotel security would get them in trouble when they heard a knock at the door. Instead, it was hotel employees offering to get them anything they needed.

Everyone knows Snoop Dogg is smoking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So it’s no surprise that not even the hotel employees cared about it.
