The New York Knicks will sign veteran PJ Tucker, who will turn 40 years old on May 5, to a two-year contract, according to ESPN. The forward, who was an NBA champion with the Bucks in 2021, has earned the trust of the Big Apple franchise during the two 10-day contracts they gave him.

Tucker, a player with 14 years of NBA experience (Suns, Raptors, Rockets, Bucks, Heat, Sixers, Clippers and now Knicks), has always been highly regarded for his leadership and playoff experience, and would stay with the Knicks for the season and playoffs, with a team option for the 2025-26 season.
His contribution in those three weeks was minimal, appearing in only one game, the loss to the San Antonio Spurs (120-105) on March 19. But the Knicks saw in him, in addition to experience, qualities that can help him punctually in some games.
Corner three-point specialist
According to Second Spectrum, Tucker has made 704 corner three-pointers in the last 12 seasons, the most in the NBA during that span. With proven playoff performance on both ends of the court, Tucker has played 104 career postseason games.
