Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift‘s relationship gets enough attention in the NFL and celebrity worlds, but now they are being talked about in relation to the NBA as well.
SportsCenter shared a picture on social media which has renewed the focus on Kelce despite NFL being in its off-season right now.
It showed Sacramento Kings star Jonas Valanciunas and pointed out that Valanciunas “has made every single play-in tournament since it began.”
Fans were not interested in that stat, though, they were more interested in the fact that the Kings man looks just like Kelce.
“He’s also one of the greatest tight ends of all time,” a commenter joked, clearly referencing Kelce instead of Valanciunas. Another one said, “Good job for Travis Kelce.”
A fan even mentioned Kelce’s girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift, writing, “Omg so Taylor might not get to come to the playoffs to watch Travis?”
“So your telling me that’s not Travis Kelce?” a social media user asked. A fifth fan echoed a similar sentiment, stating, “Is Travis Kelce playing basketball??”
“Why is Travis Kelce in Sacramento,” a poster stated.
“Am I tripping or does he look like Travis Kelce,” a supporter remarked.
“That is Kelce!” another commenter exclaimed.
Kelce has bigger fish to fry
Kelce may not be concerned with an NBA player looking like him as he is currently having to deal with the Swifties.
Despite being admired as Swift‘s significant other, his recent actions on social media are causing a serious rift with the pop star’s devoted following.
Although Swift and Kelce have been keeping a low profile since Super Bowl LIX, sources suggest the couple’s low-key approach isn’t tied to the Chiefs’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Instead, they reportedly want to enjoy their relationship in peace, away from the public eye.
On April 9, the New Heights podcast account on X (formerly Twitter) shared a poll created by Wondery, the podcast’s affiliated network. Fans who completed the poll were entered to win a personalized New Heights jersey. But instead of excitement, the survey provoked outrage.
According to several fans, the poll included questions that were overly focused on Kelce’s relationship with Swift and mentioned her name far too frequently for comfort.
“The questions about Taylor and their relationship are so weird and gross,” one fan complained. “What’s the goal here? If enough people choose those, will Wondery force Travis to talk about Taylor and their private life? These questions should be removed.”
