Circle’s President, Heath Tarbert, receives the prestigious Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, reflecting his commitment to service, leadership, and integrity.
Heath Tarbert, President of Circle, has been recognized with the esteemed Distinguished Eagle Scout Award (DESA), according to Circle’s official announcement. This accolade, one of the highest honors bestowed by Scouting America, acknowledges Eagle Scouts who have achieved significant national-level recognition in their careers or through their service to the United States.
Recognition for Service and Leadership
Since the award’s inception in 1969, only about 2,200 individuals have been honored with the DESA, placing Tarbert among notable figures such as former President Gerald Ford, astronaut Neil Armstrong, and filmmaker Steven Spielberg. The award underscores a lifelong dedication to integrity, service, and leadership—values that are deeply interwoven with Circle’s mission to foster a more open and inclusive financial system.
Circle’s Commitment to Scouting Values
Circle, a leader in the digital financial ecosystem, proudly includes nearly a dozen Eagle Scouts within its ranks, spanning various departments such as business development, compliance, and engineering. These individuals, alongside others who have achieved top ranks in scouting organizations worldwide, contribute to the company’s ethos of leadership and service.
In a statement, Tarbert expressed that the honor represents more than personal achievement: “The Distinguished Eagle Scout Award reminds us that true leadership begins with service to our communities, colleagues, and the greater good. I am honored to be named a DESA recipient and proud to be part of a company where those principles guide everything we do.”
Circle’s Vision and Values
The recognition of Tarbert aligns with Circle’s broader mission to build a responsible global financial system, emphasizing trust, humility, and service. These values continue to shape Circle’s strategic direction and operational ethos, reflecting a commitment to ethical leadership.
