Kayla Nicole has claimed freezing eggs is frequently presented as an easy solution, but she explained that the long-term costs alone can be enough to make women stop and reconsider.
Nicole appeared on Pour Minds alongside hosts Lex P and Drea Nicole. When the conversation turned to whether freezing eggs is actually worth it, Nicole did not hesitate to point out what she believes is missing from the public narrative.

“Something that is not talked about enough is the financial commitment that you have to make,” Nicole said. “You have to pay for them eggs to stay frozen.”
Her comment immediately sparked laughter from Lex P, who joked about the idea of paying ongoing fees as if the eggs were tenants.
“Oh, you gotta pay rent? Send them upstairs with the other ones… Egg rent is nuts. Give me my eggs. I’ll keep them,” Lex P said.
The humor landed, but Nicole quickly grounded the conversation in reality. She explained that many people suggest freezing eggs as though it is a simple fix, without considering the financial pressure women are already under.
“Everybody’s like, well, just freeze your eggs,” Nicole said. “It’s like, b*tch, what you mean? I got to pay rent. I have a car now. I have health insurance. I have dental insurance.”
Her point resonated because it reflected the everyday balancing act many women face. Egg freezing may sound empowering, but it comes on top of existing responsibilities that do not pause just because a future plan sounds smart on paper.
Faith, timing, and accepting what feels right
Nicole also spoke about the emotional side of the decision, sharing that it is not just about money or medical planning. For her, it has become a deeply personal question tied to faith and acceptance.
“Sometimes my conversation with God is like, I need you to give me a sign that you want me to freeze these eggs right now,” Nicole said. “Because if not, I might reach the age where I can’t have kids, and I will just be OK with it. Maybe it is just not my ministry to freeze my eggs. But I love the idea of it. It sounds sexy.”
Her honesty shifted the tone of the discussion. Instead of framing egg freezing as something every woman should do, Nicole described it as a choice that may or may not align with where someone is in life. Drea Nicole summed up that tension in a single line.
“Until you look at that bill,” she said.
Lex P followed with another joke that quickly became one of the episode’s most memorable moments.
“If times get too hard, I might scramble them mo**erfuckers,” she said.
When a clip of the conversation later circulated on Instagram, Nicole joined the comments herself, reacting with equal parts disbelief and humor.
“Scramble them!!??????!???” Nicole wrote.
