Cristiano Ronaldo’s secret but fundamental role at Al-Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo signed with Al Nassr in December 2022 after terminating his contract with Manchester United and signing a contract estimated at more than 200 million per year, making him the highest-paid player in the world.

His arrival in the Saudi league thrilled fans, but recently, the team’s president revealed that the Portuguese captain not only plays a key role on the field, but also off it.

The 40-year-old star has established himself as one of the most outstanding players in soccer history at clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, as well as on the Portuguese national team.

Now, his impact on the Saudi league has not only attracted the attention of thousands of club fans, but also that of other players, such as Joo Flix and Sadio Man.

Abdullah Al-Majed, the president of Al Nassr, said that the Portuguese player is a key figure in persuading several players to join or remain with the team:

He has contributed to convincing many of the players,” he revealed, according to NFC1World.

However, Abdullah Al-Majed declined to comment on the captain’s involvement and implications for the team:

Ronaldo does not own a share in the club,” he said, adding, “and this is his business and the owners’ business.”

Meanwhile, Ronaldo added another achievement to his career by becoming the top foreign scorer in the history of Al Nassr (116), with whom he has a contract until 2027.

In addition, he reached 960 official goals with his goal in the 2-1 victory over Damac and is now only 40 goals away from reaching 1,000 goals, which would make him the only player in soccer history to achieve this feat.

Now, CR7 and Al-Nassr will face Al Taawon at AL-AWWAL PARK Stadium this Sunday, January 26, in search of another victory that will allow them to continue climbing the league table and win their first title with the team.
