The release of millions of pages of long-sealed federal records has pulled the New York Giants and co-owner Steve Tisch into an uncomfortable national spotlight.
According to newly disclosed documents from the Justice Department, convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein exchanged extensive email correspondence with the Giants supremo, connecting him with numerous women over a span of several years.

While the emails have sparked public scrutiny, Tisch has categorically denied any deeper relationship or wrongdoing.

Per The Athletic, records show Tisch‘s name appearing at least 440 times among the documents released Friday. The emails range from casual scheduling notes to explicit language written by Epstein.
One message reads: “Jeffery says Steve Tisch might come over around 7-7:30 tonight. Snacks for everyone!” Another includes Epstein asking, “did you contact the great ass fake tit [name redacted].”
At the time of the correspondence, Tisch was already a prominent Hollywood producer and sports executive. Now 76, he is chairman, co-owner, and vice president of the Giants, and has produced dozens of major films, including Forrest Gump and Risky Business.
In a statement released Friday, Tisch addressed the emails directly: “We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investments,” Tisch said.
“I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with.”
Emails, timelines, and the broader Epstein record
According to the released documents, most of the correspondence between Epstein and Tisch dates back to 2013.
In one email dated April 21, Epstein appears to allegedly facilitate an introduction between Tisch and a woman named ‘Katya’.
“I googled Steve Tisch he is oscar winner producer,and Giants owner.I’d love to meet him,” she wrote, according to the records.
Other emails show Tisch forwarding messages to Epstein about additional women, including a May 13, 2013, message that reads: “Jeffrey Epstein is very excited about you and I meeting each other. I like that idea. Do you?”
Subsequent messages from Epstein discuss logistics, travel, and personal details, including one in which he wrote: “send me a number to call I dont like records of these conversations.”
One exchange, titled “Ukrainian Girl,” includes Tisch asking whether a woman he met through Epstein was a “pro or civilian,” a reference interpreted as whether she was a prostitute. Epstein replied with crude characterizations and personal commentary.
Is Steve Tisch facing legal trouble?
Despite the disturbing tone of the emails, there is no allegation in the documents that Tisch engaged in criminal conduct. But just having the link to Epstein is enough to raise questions about his role.
Epstein, a wealthy financier, was arrested in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges involving underage girls.
He was found dead in his jail cell on August 10, 2019, in what the coroner ruled a suicide. His former associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, was later convicted and is serving a 20-year sentence in Texas.
The disclosures were made under the Epstein Files Transparency Act and include references to other high-profile figures, including Donald Trump and Bill Clinton.
Josh Harris, owner of the Washington Commanders, Philadelphia 76ers, and New Jersey Devils, also appeared in the files.
A spokesperson stated, “Josh Harris never had an independent relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.”
As Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche confirmed the release of more than three million pages, the revelations represent a deep dive into Epstein‘s network with powerful institutions.
It remains to be seen where Tisch and the Giants go from here. The Giants as an organization are yet to publicly respond.
