Steven Spielberg becomes an EGOT winner
With a win at the 2026 Grammy Awards, Steven Spielberg has officially achieved EGOT status, becoming the 28th person to do so. Spielberg won Best Music Film as a producer on Music by John Williams, marking his long-awaited Grammy victory and completing the quartet of major awards. Spielberg joins the likes of Mel Brooks, Whoopi Goldberg, Mike Nichols, Audrey Hepburn, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice, Richard Rodgers and Elton John. Ludwig Göransson also became a big winner last night with his soundtrack for Sinners. Songs from Wicked, Kpop Demon Hunters and F1 would also win for their film-related entries. Nine Inch Nails’ return with their music from the Tron: Ares soundtrack would also be celebrated with a win.
