Tom Brady has seemingly reversed course ahead of Super Bowl LX, offering public support for the New England Patriots after facing widespread criticism for initially refusing to pick a side in the championship clash against the Seattle Seahawks.
The legendary quarterback, whose legacy is deeply intertwined with the Patriots dynasty, reignited fan excitement with a social media post that suggested his allegiance remains firmly rooted in Foxborough.
Tom Brady shows true greatness with fans
Earlier in the week, Brady stirred controversy when he claimed neutrality regarding the highly anticipated Super Bowl matchup.

That position surprised many fans, former teammates, and members of the New England Patriots organization, considering his historic role in building one of the most dominant dynasties in NFL history.
However, a late-week Instagram story appears to have silenced many critics while reaffirming his loyalty to Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
“You know I got your back RKK,” Tom Brady wrote as part of the Instagram story, referencing Robert Kraft. “Get that seventh ring so we can match.”
By tagging the New England Patriots in the post, Brady left little doubt about his renewed public support as the franchise prepares to chase another championship.
Patriots fans, ex-teammates question Brady’s Super Bowl take
Brady remains synonymous with the Patriots‘ historic success. During his 20-year tenure with the franchise, he captured six Super Bowl titles, forming the cornerstone of a dynasty engineered alongside longtime head coach Bill Belichick.
His final championship victory with New England came during the 2018 season, culminating in a Super Bowl triumph in 2019.
After departing the franchise, Brady added another Lombardi Trophy with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, further cementing his place among the greatest quarterbacks in football history.
Despite that unparalleled legacy, Brady‘s earlier comments during his appearance on the ‘Let’s Go!” podcast with Jim Gray generated significant backlash.
The Hall of Fame-bound quarterback raised eyebrows when he declined to publicly support either Super Bowl participant: “I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one. May the best team win,” he said.
The neutral stance quickly became a talking point across the NFL landscape, particularly among former New England Patriots players.
Defensive stalwart Vince Wilfork did not hide his disappointment, calling the stance “bullcrap.” Meanwhile, longtime tight end teammate Rob Gronkowski questioned whether there were underlying motivations behind Brady‘s comments.
Adding fuel to the debate, former cornerback Asante Samuel speculated that Brady‘s take could stem from feelings surrounding current Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who is a fan favorite within the organization.
Too little, too late?
Following Brady‘s Instagram post backing Robert Kraft and the Patriots, Samuel questioned whether the public show of support arrived too late.
Nonetheless, the gesture has largely been interpreted as a sign that the seven-time Super Bowl champion still maintains strong emotional ties to the franchise that defined his career.
While his loyalty to New England remains evident, Brady‘s current professional roles add layers of complexity to his public positioning.
He now serves as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders while also working as a lead analyst for Fox‘s NFL broadcasts. Those responsibilities require a degree of neutrality, especially in high-profile postseason matchups.
As the Patriots prepare to face the Seattle Seahawks on football’s biggest stage, Brady‘s public support adds another twist in the story ahead of an already compelling Super Bowl preamble.
