Maxx Crosby stepped forward during Super Bowl week to address the growing speculation surrounding his future, making it clear that his attention remains on football.
With trade talk accelerating around the league, the Las Vegas Raiders star spoke from the team facility while wearing Raiders gear, offering a measured response that neither fueled nor fully dismissed the noise.
Crosby, who is under contract with the Raiders through the 2029 season, acknowledged the chatter but emphasised that his routine has not changed.

“I’m in the building every single day,” Crosby said. “I’m putting in strength work, rehabbing, lifting, getting prepared for next season. That’s all that I care about.”
Super Bowl week often acts as an unofficial launch point for offseason maneuvering, and his name has emerged as one of the biggest defensive stars linked to potential movement.
League sources fuel speculation beyond Crosby’s words
Appearing with Colin Cowherd,Crosby addressed how silence can sometimes create more noise than speaking out.
He suggested that stepping back from public commentary has led others to project their own narratives onto his situation.
“Now that I’m quiet, now I got random people making big statements for me,” Crosby said. “And they’re like, ‘Oh, Maxx must have told them this.’ For me, I just sit back and laugh.
“Because I know my truth, and when I go to bed at night, I have a smile on my face because I don’t have to explain nothing to nobody.”
Despite Crosby‘s calm tone, outside reporting has added fuel to the conversation. Dianna Russini reported that the Raiders may not block a trade if Crosby ultimately decides he wants a new situation.
According to league sources cited in her report, the edge rusher would be “there for the taking” should he push for a move.
“Las Vegas is not expected to try to make Crosby stay if he truly wants out,” Russini wrote. “They’d likely demand a Micah Parsons-like package.”
Russini also noted that the Raiders’ decision to shut Crosby down late in the 2025 season did not sit well with him. She added that Crosby would “love to play for Mike Vrabel,” a detail she had referenced earlier in the week during a radio appearance in Boston.
