Meanwhile, Armando Gonzlez is making waves of his own. The Chivas Guadalajara forward just hit 24 goals after bagging a brace against Pumas, cracking the worldwide Top 4.

Gonzlez already won the Apertura 2025 golden boot and has added another 12 goals in the current tournament. He leads the Liga MX scoring race outright with four matchdays still to play.

What makes the Mexican dominance even more impressive is who they’ve left behind on the global charts: Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbapp are on 23 goals each, while Erling Haaland sits on 22.
