Luka Doncic, star of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and former Real Madrid basketball player, celebrated Saturday Los Blancos’ 15th Champions League win after the final against Borussia Dortmund with a “Hala Madrid and nothing else” posted on his ‘X’ account.
Doncic, who continues to maintain a close bond with Real Madrid, is just another fan of the club. Madrid gave him everything before embarking on his adventure in the NBA, where he joined the Dallas Mavericks in the summer of 2018. He won the Euroleague as a youngster, as well as three Leagues and two Copa del Rey. The appreciation is reciprocal, as Real Madrid itself congratulated Doncic for leading the Mavs to the NBA Finals.
Now, after the triumph of his beloved Real Madrid in the Champions League, Doncic will have to continue creating magic in the NBA playoffs, where he only has one more hurdle to conquer his first ring. It will be the most difficult, since after leaving the Clippers (4-2), Thunder (4-2) and Timberwolves (4-1) on the road, the Mavs will have to face the rocky Boston Celtics in the Finals. The series will begin on June 7 at the TD Garden
