The future of the Dallas Cowboys remains uncertain, especially at the quarterback position. Dak Prescott has been looking for a new deal to stay with the team, however, the team’s front office appears to have other plans in mind.
The quarterback still has one more year on his contract, however, if he does not receive an extension, the Mississippi State graduate would end up leaving as a free agent next season, which would force Dallas to look for his replacement.
That might not be such a bad idea when they start to think of the options they will have. In next years draft there could be one interesting name that will be there for the taking if they are willing to trade, unless they have a season to forget.
Shedeur Sanders could be a player that can be molded into what Dallas needs. He is a very electric player that will, like Dak when he arrived, can lift this offense up if there is no effectivity in what they do on the gridiron. With Prescott the team has put up great numbers but have failed to go deep into the playoffs, and they are desperate to win the Super Bowl, something they have not won since the mid90s.
An experienced quarterback could also be in the mixed
There is one quarterback that could also be in the conversation for a spot with a new team if things do not go his way with his current team. Just like what Dak Prescott is going through.
Tua Tagovialoa is in his final year of his contract and if he can be a good enough signal caller this season, there is a possibility that he will hit free agency and if he is on the market, Dallas could pursue him.
However, if he is available that would mean that the Miami Dolphins did not got deep in the playoffs and that might a sign enough that he is a primary issue with signing him.
