Excitement is building ahead of the hotly-anticipated basketball event of the year as the NBA Draft 2024 gets underway in New York this week.
For the first time, the NBA Draft 2024 will be held across two different days. It begins on June 26 at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, on Wednesday, before moving onto ESPN’s Seaport District Studios in New York on Thursday, June 27.
The Boston Celtics sit atop the NBA mountain after winning their record 18th championship. Their climb to the summit started when they selected 2024 Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, while another one of their draft picks in 2016-17, Jayson Tatum, is hitting his peak.
That underlines the importance of franchises picking the right player to boost their prospects, with the Atlanta Hawks having the pick of the bunch with the No. 1 overall selection to kick off the Draft.
So far, 12 players have received invitations to attend the 2024 NBA Draft, which gives them access to sit in the green room.
They are (in alphabetical order only): Matas Buzelis, Devin Carter, Stephon Castle, Donovan Clingan, Ron Holland, Dalton Knecht, Zaccharie Risacher, Tidjane Salaun, Alex Sarr, Reed Sheppard, Ja’Kobe Walter and Cody Williams.
