Will Bronny James call LeBron “dad” if they link up on the NBA court?

Bronny James is set to enter the NBA, that’s how long LeBron has been around now, but what happens if they end up on the same team and the same court? Will he call the four-time NBA champion “dad” as he prepares to be drafted?

James Jr. announced his intention to go professional after a strong recovery in the NCAA‘s college basketball system following a frightening heart attack almost a year ago whilst he was in practice with the USC Trojans.

Bronny James spotted with the Lakers uniform

At the moment, the Los Angeles Lakers are in pole position to sign the 19-year-old whilst odds were also slashed on the Dallas Mavericks, with whoever picks him up getting a golden opportunity to bring his father to their franchise for the final contact of his career.

That’s because it’s been a dream of LeBron to play ball with his son at the very top level of their passion and vocation, but what happens if that dream comes true? How will the child address his parent?

Fans began to ponder the question on Reddit, with some joking Bronny James would call him by his dad’s jersey number, whilst more serious answers suggested they don’t see why he wouldn’t call him that.

Either way, the discussion is a bit too early. Bronny James is yet to be drafted and there is no guarantee that LeBron James will even stay with the Lakers as he could be set to stun the NBA trade market by electing for free agency this offseason.

When is the 2024 NBA Draft?

The 2024 NBA Draft will be hosted at the Barclays Center in Brookyln, New York, home to the Nets from June 26-27. Coverage will be provided by State Farm whilst it can be watched via ESPN or ABC to see when Bronny James will be picked.

The Atlanta Hawks hold the overall first pick, followed by the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs, whilst the new NBA champions, the Boston Celtics, will choose last in Round 1.
