Skip Bayless has some criticism for Bronny James after his Summer League debut

Bronny James just made his debut in the NBA Summer League with the Los Angeles Lakers, and he did not make a good first impression, as he scored 4 points, two rebounds, and two assists in 21 minutes of action.

His performance wasn’t quite impressive and casts doubts about his future in the NBA, with a lot of criticism going the LeBron James’ son, even though it’s way too early to tell if he will be a good fit in this Lakers team.

One of his critics is the FS1 host Skip Bayless, as the ‘Undisputed’ pundit criticized Bronny James’ performance.

Uh-oh. Don’t tell me this is going to be like father, like son. Bronny missed both of his first two free throws. Surely he’ll prove to be an 88 percenter. Has to be at just short of (6-feet-2 inches tall).

Bronny James against all odds

The Los Angeles Lakers drafted Bronny with the No. 55 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. He declared for the draft after a single season at the University of Southern California (USC). During his freshman year, Bronny averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists over 19.3 minutes per game.

Despite his early highlight, Bronny struggled offensively, finishing the first half with a shooting record of 1-of-6 from the field.

All eyes will be on Bronny this season to see if the heir to the James throne will be able to break into the Lakers NBA roster. Bronny won’t have it easy as almost certainly all of the league will see him as a targe, getting every player’s best effort.
