After a tough start to his professional career, Bronny James will not be playing in his second opportunity. The second game of the NBA Summer League for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Golden State Warriors will not have the son of LeBron James in the lineup because of a precautionary reason.
The team said that Bronny has “trace swelling” in his left knee and because of that he would sit out the Sunday game, however it is also known that he is expected to play on Wednesday against the Miami Heat.
All of this comes after a few hours of many news of relevance in Los Angeles, with his debut and also the signing of the “King”, in what is to believed could change the franchise’s destiny, although the team may still need some pieces.
Crazy last 24 hours for the Lakers
Bronny James had his historic debut in the Summer League, and the Lakers’ number ‘9’ shirt only managed 4 points, with 2 of 9 field goals, 2 rebounds and 2 assists in almost 22 minutes of play.
While it was not the best game of his career by any means, he did say that every time he hits the floor for an important game, he feels butterflies and that definitely the case here. While that was happening, his father downplayed that fact that Bronny did not play well, but he was also busy on his own.
LeBron James and the Lakers signed a contract worth $101.355 million for two years, taking $3 million less than the max contract. This deal has him in Los Angeles for quite some time looking to conquer another NBA title and this time it would be even more special because his son would be a part of it with the purple and gold.
