Coach Bill Belichick reportedly declined an offer from a Super Bowl Contender

Could you imagine if Coach Bill Belichick would’ve been part of this team that just reached the Super Bowl? If you are smart and you eliminate with a little mathematics you will know that the team that reportedly approached him and made him an offer that apparently he couldn’t refuse. The Kansas City Chiefs is not that team because coach Andy Reid is still going strong with his dynasty, something very similar to what coach Belichick built at the New England Patriots. That only leaves the San Francisco 49ers as the team that approached the retired coach. But would the Niners fire coach Kyle Shanahan from his position in order to accomodate coach Bill Belichick? Well, not exactly.

Bill Belichick’s emotional farewell to Patriot fans: “I’ll always be a patriot”M.C.

Kyle Shanahan approached coach Belichick

That’s right, it was the San Francisco 49ers coach himself who approached coach Bill Belichick. He recently made an appearance on Tim Kawakami’s ‘The TK Show’, and said he wasthe one who made the offer: “I threw it out to him. He loves football so much that you never know what he … I can’t believe he’s not a head coach of a team right now. I know what I would do if I was an owner so that shocks me and the last thing you want to do is insult someone like Bill Belichick. But I know he just loves ball in its simplest form, so I threw it all out to him, whatever he wanted to do, [including defensive coordinator]. I was like ‘Would you be interested?’ And he was very nice and appreciative and he politely turned me down.”

But for coach Bill Belichick, perhaps enjoying life in retirement with his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson. We know the coach has been enjoying himself with the young lady and has found a new meaning to life. But Shanahan doesn’t think Belichick will last too long away from the game. He added: “I’m sure he’s going to be back in the league next year and I could be going against him. He could be in the NFC West. It would have sucked if he came here and then he was going against us, so that’s the stuff you have to be careful about. But he’s the best and I just like talking to him.”
