Nick Saban has never been shy of expressing what he feels in any situation and when it comes to speaking about his former quarterbacks things can only get interesting, specially after the recent announcement on the benching of Bryce Young.
The Carolina Panthers will have a new signal caller in Week 3 of the NFL, as Andy Dalton will start in place of the Alabama product after showing poor play during the first two weeks of the regular season and his head coach, Dave Canales, has sen enough for now.

Saban talked about the situation on the Pat McAfee Show. “Quarterback is a really hard position to play if the people around you don’t play well,” Saban said. “That’s one of the bad things about being the first guy picked in a draft. You may go to a team that doesn’t have all the pieces … Carolina did not, and they have to build this thing from the ground up.”

In the 2023 NFL Draft, the Panther traded up to get to pick Bryce Young with first over all selection. The 2021 Heisman Trophy winner was by far the leader in the prediction to get picked first but so far he has not performed well, going 2-15 in his rookie year and the dropping the first two games of 2024 in a bad way. Nick Saban defended him.

Bryce young excelled under Nick Saban’s management and that is why it is hard fo hi to see his former quarterback by under this stressful situation. He wan the 202 National Championship with him in controls and he hopes he can another opportunity to prove himself soon.
