We are thrilled to announce that Ashi (Ashrafsadat) Sakhaeifar has been awarded the 2024 Volunteerism in the Arts Award! This recognition celebrates Ashi’s remarkable dedication and impactful volunteer work in the arts community at Gordon Neighbourhood House.

For the past two years, Ashi has been an outstanding volunteer, fostering a welcoming and creative environment for adults through her “Artistic Expression with Ashi” workshops. These workshops offered a unique blend of art, gentle movement, and interactive activities, encouraging participants to explore their creativity in a fun and supportive setting. Her ability to create an atmosphere of joy and engagement has left a lasting impression on all who attended.

Beyond her workshops, Ashi played a crucial role in the Family Place program, where she led arts and crafts activities for young children. She was also instrumental in organizing special family events such as Family Breakfasts, Art Workshops, Family Dinners, and Community Lunch Programs.
