Already a big name in the NFL for his on-field accomplishments, Travis Kelce‘s profile has soared even higher since he began dating pop icon Taylor Swift last year. In a recent interview with Extra, his mother, Donna Kelce, opened up about how her son has adapted to his newfound level of fame.

She suggested that Kelce is handling the heightened public scrutiny with ease, as he genuinely enjoys being in the spotlight. According to her, Kelce not only has no problem with all the extra eyes on him, but he often leans into it, purposefully doing things to get people talking.

“He’s always been one to be in the limelight. He loves attention. I mean it, he’s always dancing, always joking around, always having fun… he just loves life,” she said.

“It just seems like his life is on a trajectory that just is rising every single day. Every time I turn around, I’m seeing him doing something different – whether it’s on the golf course, or at a concert, or whatever, he’s just having his best life right now.”

Showing support to each other

Swift, on her end, has shown enthusiastic support for Kelce, attending 15 of his games last season and continuing to make appearances at his matches this year, though she was absent from his latest outing.

Kelce has been equally supportive, accompanying Swift to her concerts around the world over the last several months, showing that their relationship extends far beyond their own individual fame.

“A lot of the antics that he does, whether it’s on the field or elsewhere, even with his clothes sometimes, he’s like, ‘I just want a smile out of people’,” Donna added.

The three-time Super Bowl champ seems to be having fun with his growing celebrity status, thriving under both the pressure of his high-performance career and the public’s fascination with his relationship.
