SingularityNET (AGIX) has unveiled a comprehensive update for the first half of 2024, highlighting significant progress across various initiatives. The report, authored by COO Janet Adams, covers pivotal advancements in their roadmap, the ASI Alliance merger, partnerships, and a strategic move towards decentralization.
Artificial Superintelligence Alliance Token Merger
On March 27, 2024, SingularityNET announced a three-way token merger with decentralized AI industry leaders Fetch.ai and Ocean Protocol. This merger created the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance, the largest open-sourced, decentralized network focused on accelerating the development of decentralized AGI and ASI for the benefit of all sentient beings.
AGIX token holders participated in a governance vote from April 4 to April 16, 2024, with a supermajority approving the merger. By June 22, 2024, the core token merger process was complete, and the integration phase commenced. Over 50% of the circulating token supply had already merged, consolidating under the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (FET) token.
Initial $53M AI Infrastructure Investment
SingularityNET announced a groundbreaking $53 million investment to build the world’s first modular supercomputer dedicated to decentralized AGI and ASI R&D. The supercomputer will optimize the training of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs), Large Language Models (LLMs), and hybrid neural-symbolic computing architectures like OpenCog Hyperon. The first phase of this supercomputer is expected to come online by the end of 2024 or early 2025.
Progress Toward AGI
SingularityNET published its Progress Toward Beneficial General Intelligence (BGI) report, detailing advancements in the OpenCog Hyperon AGI framework. Key achievements include enhancements to the Hyperon’s cognitive components and experiential learning projects like ROCCA and NARS. The report also outlines future development plans, focusing on real-world applications and expanding Hyperon components.
Decentralized AI Platform Strategy
In February, SingularityNET shared its Decentralized AI Platform strategy and roadmap for 2024. The report emphasizes the Internet of Knowledge, integrations with other decentralized networks like HyperCycle and NuNet, scalability and usability improvements, and targeted adoption initiatives like Deep Funding and ecosystem spinoffs.
New Executive Hire
Nick Nayfack joined SingularityNET as the new Chief Product Officer. With over 20 years of experience in deep tech for AI, web3, payments, and mobile, Nayfack is expected to drive the company’s product strategy and development forward.
Deep Funding Initiatives
Deep Funding, a community-driven program, has funded 109 diverse projects with a total of $4,307,343 in AGIX. The program aims to support the growth of the Decentralized AI Platform through targeted funding rounds and community engagement initiatives.
Decentralization Efforts
SingularityNET is actively working on decentralization through its Decentralization Blueprint and community-driven initiatives like the Global AI Ethics Initiative. The company aims to gather diverse perspectives to develop safe and ethical AI that benefits all of humanity.
Marketing and Community Engagement
SingularityNET saw a 15.5% increase in its following across all platforms, reaching 264,014. The company has launched several new initiatives, including a TikTok channel and a dedicated short-form video strategy. The marketing team is also working closely with Fetch.ai and Ocean Protocol to promote the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance.
