The Dallas Cowboys offense will face one of its toughest tests of the season against the stout Pittsburgh Steelers defense in an NFL classic that will be played for the first time on a Sunday night.
Two of the NFL’s most popular teams, and undoubtedly the two most popular among Latino audiences, will play at the home of the Steelers on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. Eastern time in a rivalry that has pitted these teams against each other in three different Super Bowls, as well as being two of the winningest franchises.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who at the beginning of the season signed an NFL-record $240 million dollar, four-season contract, has fallen behind and has his team with a 2-2 record in the beginning of the season.
The Lone Star passer knows the pressure on his shoulders and that of the entire offense.
“I don’t have to be Superman”
When Prescott was asked if he would try to be like Superman and take control of his team, he replied that he will always try to make the big play, but not go outside of scheme of play.
“I’m not going to go out on the field and say I have to be Superman, I’ve been able to avoid some tackles, I’ve been able to make some plays that have helped us, but I haven’t done anything out of the ordinary and I don’t have to try,” said Prescott, who has completed 96 passes for 1,072 yards and six touchdowns in four games.
The Steelers’ defense is the fourth-best on the season with just 261.3 yards allowed per game and they total 11 quarterback catches, three of them propelled by the always-dangerous T.J. Watt.
“I’m just going to go out there and do my best, and I think if I do that and the guys do the exact same thing, take the same approach and do their best, we can get it done. I’m not worried about the results and how we’re going to play,” Prescott added.
Watt ready to give Cowboys trouble
On the other side, T.J. Watt said he knows what kind of game it will be Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, facing an offense that is loaded with weapons at the most important positions.
“They’re an explosive offense. Obviously, CeeDee Lamb, Jake Ferguson, the running back duo and Dak (Prescott), they do a lot of great things. They have a really established offensive line, plus the rookies,” Watt explained.
“They can put up points, and put up points quickly. So we have to be able to, as I say every week, stop the streak and then go from there,” he added.
