Jason Garrett’s NFL career has been intertwined with the Dallas Cowboys for nearly two decades. From filling in as Troy Aikman’s backup to his mixed tenure as head coach, Garrett’s involvement with America’s Team has cemented his status in the league. Garrett’s NFL journey began in 1989 as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints. After failing to make the final roster, he explored opportunities in the USFL and CFL.

In 1992, Garrett made his return to the NFL with the Cowboys. Although he spent much of his time as Aikman’s backup, Garrett still boasts three Super Bowl victories, in 1992, 1993, and 1995. After his coaching career ended, Garrett briefly worked as the Giants’ offensive coordinator before retiring from the NFL in 2021. In 2022, he transitioned to broadcasting, making his debut as a USFL commentator and later covering Notre Dame football.
