Zack Grossi, the Denver Broncos‘ Passing Game Specialist, has been diagnosed with a Yolk Sac Tumor and is undergoing chemotherapy.

The 35-year-old coach, who joined the Broncos in 2022, began treatment this week after experiencing breathing difficulties that led to medical tests revealing the tumor.

Head coach Sean Payton offered his encouragement to Grossi and emphasized the team’s commitment to supporting him through his fight against cancer.

“Our unwavering support is with Zack and his family as he takes time to focus on his health,” Payton said. “We know he will Fight Like A Bronco, and we can’t wait to welcome him back.”

Grossi’s Positive Outlook Amid Diagnosis

Despite the diagnosis, Grossi remains optimistic, noting that his tumor is highly treatable.

He shared that after months of feeling off, the discovery of the tumor allowed him to start chemotherapy right away, with plans for surgery to remove the tumor after completing the treatment.

“My approach is the same as preparing for a game-stay the course, keep working, and keep grinding,” Grossi said, adding that he is trusting the process.

Grossi praised the Broncos organization for their immediate and overwhelming support.
