Shocking revelations about Josh Allen’s ‘cover-up’ in the NFL

The Buffalo Bills have been accused of covering up a head injury to Josh Allen during a Week 5 defeat to the Houston Texans, after the star quarterback fell on his head following a sack in the fourth quarter.

Allen appeared to be unconscious for several moments and was taken out of the game before checks from medical professionals appeared to clear the 28-year-old to re-enter the contest again after missing one play.

However, it’s since been claimed the doctors aimed to cover up the extent of the damage to the QB to boost the Bills’ chances of winning, something strenuously denied by their head coach but also the NFL and NFL Players’ Association in a statement.

“The NFL and NFLPA have received the reports from the Unaffiliated Neurotrauma Consultant and Booth Spotters,” the bodies said in a press release on October 12. “And those reports confirm that the steps required by the concussion protocol were followed in the evaluation and clearance of Bills quarterback Josh Allen in last Sunday’s game.”

Allen hasn’t yet hit the lofty heights of previous seasons but he has still been a dangerous weapon in the Bills’ arsenal after throwing for 945 yards and eight touchdowns with a completion rate of 60.3%.

He has also made 26 carries for 160 yards and two rushing touchdowns too, showing he still carries a dual threat in the red zone.

Who do the Bills play in Week 6?

The New York side eventually went on to slump to a 23-20 loss to CJ Stroud‘s Texans and are now just one win ahead of the second-placed New York Jets in the AFC East with a 3-2 record through five contests.

The Bills will face the Jets on Monday Night Football on October 14 at the MetLife Stadium, with a victory handing Allen and his colleagues control of the AFC East whilst a defeat will see Aaron Rodgers‘ new-era Jets pull level on records. Kick-off will take place from 20:15 ET/17:15 PT.
