Robert Griffin III has the best idea for Dak Prescott and Jerry Jones to get better: Trade for Alvin Kamara

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III has proposed a bold move for the Dallas Cowboys that could address their faltering run game-acquiring star running back Alvin Kamara from the New Orleans Saints.

With both teams facing major struggles, Griffin believes a trade could be mutually beneficial ahead of the November 5 trade deadline.

The Cowboys are searching for answers after a crushing 47-9 defeat to the Detroit Lions, while the Saints’ season has spiraled with a five-game losing streak, leaving both teams needing to recalibrate.

Griffin took to social media after the Saints’ recent 33-10 loss to the Denver Broncos, suggesting the Cowboys should explore a trade for Kamara if New Orleans continues to struggle.

“If they continue the downward tumble, Dallas should attempt to make a move to acquire Kamara,” he advised.

The Cowboys, led by Jerry Jones, have a glaring need for improvement in their rushing attack, while the Saints could benefit from offloading Kamara and starting fresh in what has become a challenging season.

Kamara Could Solve Cowboys’ Running Game Woes

Dallas’ running game has been underwhelming all season, and their “running back by committee” approach has failed to provide the spark they need.

Rico Dowdle has shown flashes of potential with 246 rushing yards on 59 carries, but the Cowboys still rank dead last in the NFL in rushing yards per game.

They’ve also struggled to find the end zone, managing just two rushing touchdowns all season-one of which came from quarterback Dak Prescott himself.

In contrast, Kamara would bring experience and playmaking ability to a Cowboys offense that desperately needs a boost.

He’s a dual-threat back capable of making an impact on the ground and through the air, which would open up new options for Prescott and give Dallas another valuable offensive weapon.

With the Saints reeling from a series of injuries, including the loss of quarterback Derek Carr and top receivers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, they might be willing to part with Kamara if their season continues on its current trajectory.

Financially, the move makes sense for Dallas as well. Kamara’s contract carries no guaranteed money next season, making him a low-risk option for the Cowboys, who could re-evaluate his status in 2025.

For now, adding a player of his caliber could be the move that helps Dallas turn their season around.

As the trade deadline approaches, the Cowboys must decide whether they’re willing to make a big move to address their weaknesses.

If they are, Kamara could be the key to unlocking a more balanced and explosive offense.
