Dak Prescott announces engagement to Sarah Jane Ramos amid Cowboys’ on-field struggles

Despite a challenging season for the Dallas Cowboys, quarterback Dak Prescott shared a joyful update about his personal life.

Prescott, who has been under fire for his team’s inconsistent performance, recently announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend, Sarah Jane Ramos.

The couple also welcomed their first child, Margaret Jane Rose Prescott, earlier this year, adding even more reason for celebration.

Prescott took to Instagram to share a heartwarming photo of the special moment.

In the picture, Prescott can be seen kissing Ramos while holding their daughter, Margaret Jane, who sported an adorable shirt that read, “Hi Mommy, Daddy has a question for you?”

The touching family moment was accompanied by Prescott‘s caption, “4ever / @sarahjane,” confirming their engagement.

The quarterback has spoken openly about how becoming a father has shifted his perspective.

“I feel different. When you wake up in the morning and you see that baby, you understand responsibilities. And everything that I’ve always wanted for myself, you want that for somebody else even more. Yeah, it’s special,” Prescott said earlier this year.

The couple has embraced parenthood, even getting matching tattoos in May to honor their newborn. Their tattoos feature an “M” and “J” interwoven with a rose, symbolizing their daughter’s name, Margaret Jane Rose.

Cowboys’ Struggles and Prescott’s Response

While Prescott has much to celebrate in his personal life, his professional life has been more turbulent.

The Cowboys currently hold a 3-3 record, and their recent 47-9 blowout loss to the Detroit Lions has added to the scrutiny on the quarterback.

Team owner Jerry Jones didn’t hesitate to criticize Prescott, pointing to his hefty $240 million contract and calling for better production.

Statistically, Prescott’s numbers have been underwhelming. Although he ranks third in passing yards, he is 12th in passing touchdowns and has thrown the second-most interceptions in the league.

The Cowboys‘ ground game has also struggled, averaging just 77.2 rushing yards per game, placing them last in the NFL.

Following the disappointing loss, Prescott acknowledged the need for improvement, saying, “We’ve got to get better. And obviously, going into the bye week.

“I mean, we’re 3-3 after six games and with a long season to go. I’ve been in worse situations. I think after a loss like this, there’s no better time than to test the character of that.”

Finding Joy Off the Field

Despite the Cowboys‘ struggles, Prescott‘s personal life continues to flourish. His engagement to Ramos and the birth of their daughter have brought happiness during a tough season.

With the Cowboys on a bye week, Prescott has had the opportunity to focus on his family and celebrate his engagement.

As Prescott returns to the field on October 27 against the San Francisco 49ers, Cowboys fans will be hoping he can carry some of his off-field positivity into his on-field performance. For now, the star quarterback has plenty to celebrate in his life away from football.
