Anthony Davis and his poisonous comment about LeBron and Bronny James: It’s the first time…

NBA legend LeBron James and his son Bronny James made NBA history by sharing the court as the first-ever father-son duo to compete together in a professional game. LeBron took to the court alongside Bronny, receiving a thunderous ovation from the enthusiastic crowd at Crypto.com Arena.

Although Bronny saw limited action, logging just three minutes of playtime, his debut was a memorable one as the Los Angeles Lakers triumphed over the Minnesota Timberwolves with a score of 110-103.

This victory marked a significant milestone for the young James, who stepped onto the court following his father’s illustrious career.

The star of the evening was undeniably Lakers center Anthony Davis, who delivered an impressive performance with a game-high 36 points, shooting 11-of-23 from the field.

Davis’ joke about LeBron’s records

Davis also dominated the boards with 16 rebounds and added three blocks to his stat line, showcasing his all-around prowess. The Lakers star shared his thoughts during a postgame interview, particularly highlighting the special moment for LeBron and Bronny.

“This is the first time we had a LeBron moment that was something huge and we won,” Davis said. “Every other we’ve always lost, so it kind of kills the moment. But it was a special moment for everybody.”

His remarks subtly referenced LeBron‘s achievement of surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s NBA scoring record two seasons ago-a milestone that came amidst a narrow Lakers loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, 133-130.

Davis acknowledged the significance of LeBron’s career milestones, including surpassing legends such as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Karl Malone in total points scored.

Bronny‘s NBA debut, while brief, saw him finish the game without scoring, going 0-of-2 from the field and securing one rebound.
