Simone Biles attended the premiere of her new docuseries, Simone Biles Rising, in Los Angeles. Without her husband Jonathan Owens by her side, Biles effortlessly stole the show, drawing all eyes to her as the event focused on her journey leading up to the Paris Olympics.
She stepped onto the red carpet in a gorgeous black chiffon gown featuring a corset-style bodice adorned with vibrant, hand-embroidered tropical patterns. The dress, designed by Galia Lahav, was a stunning piece valued at $4,500.
This isn’t the first time Biles has turned to Galia Lahav for a major event. The designer was also behind the looks she wore on one of the most important days of her life-her wedding.
When Biles married Jonathan Owens on April 21, she knew she needed outfits that would make a statement, and Galia Lahav delivered with four different, equally stunning looks.
Wedding style choices
The pre-wedding festivities kicked off the night before, with Simone dressed in a chic, white mini dress adorned with subtle embellishments, paired with elegant heels.
For the main ceremony, she wowed guests in a custom-made ballgown that featured a fitted corset, floral detailing, and a dramatic slit, making her walk down the aisle with her father a truly unforgettable moment. This gown was the star of her social media posts, receiving widespread admiration.
But the fashion statements didn’t stop there. For the reception, Biles changed into a form-fitting mermaid dress with intricate floral applique, adding a touch of glam to the evening. Later, she switched into a flowing, customized A-line dress for the wedding dance, which rounded out the evening’s lookbook on a graceful note.
“Working with Simone on her magical day has been absolutely incredible and we are so grateful for the trust she has put into us to make her wedding day as special as it was,” the designer Galia Lahav said. “She is such a beautiful human being inside and out – it has been so incredible to get to know her and be part of her wedding journey. We love you Simone and we wish you a lifetime of happiness and endless love.”
