Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham is once again making headlines for the wrong reasons. The ex-NFL star was arrested in Tallahassee, Florida, earlier this month after a traffic stop revealed he was speeding with a suspended license, while his two children were in the car. A Florida Highway Patrol report details the incident, noting that Bradham was driving a 2023 KIA SUV at 78 mph in a 55 mph zone.
Bradham’s arrest brings renewed attention to his legal troubles, as this is not his first time driving on a suspended license a charge he’s faced previously. To make matters worse, officers also discovered an outstanding warrant for controlled substance possession issued out of Leon County, adding to the gravity of the situation. His arrest record, however, goes back even further; in 2021, Bradham was detained after police found over three pounds of marijuana and firearms in his Corvette.
Legal history casts shadow over former Super Bowl champion
Bradham’s once-promising NFL career has been overshadowed by these legal issues. After being drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2012, he later joined the Eagles in 2016 and played an instrumental role in the team’s historic Super Bowl victory. Over his career, Bradham accumulated 619 tackles across 116 games, establishing himself as a powerful presence on the field. But his off-field conduct has left fans questioning his legacy.
Now facing a felony charge in Wakulla County for driving with a suspended or revoked license, Bradham’s future is uncertain as the legal process unfolds. With his past record in the spotlight once more, the case could lead to further consequencesadding another chapter to the troubled journey of the once-celebrated athlete.
