There is no question that the Golden State Warriors are having of tough start to the season despite their record and just in case the needed someone to point out their problems, former player and current NBA analyst Charles Barkley is there to do it.
Right before their win against the New Orleans Pelicans, Barkley voiced his opinion on the matter and he did not hold back. The interesting part is that he was not aware that his microphone was still on he was still on the air.
“Yo man, Golden State stinks,” he said right when a television transition was seen and the mic was hot at the moment. While many might agree, his language was a topic of conversation on social media after what he said on TNT’ Tipoff Show.
Their record does not show a lot
The Golden State Warriors have a good record, as they have won three out of four regular season games, however, their loss against the Los Angeles Clippers just before this game against the Pelicans was concerning.
They did have an undefeated preseason but things never seemed to move and everything got complicated after Stephen Curry ankle injury that made him leave the game after rolling it twice.
Also, in their wins, the rhythm and flow of their game does not seem right as they are missing shots that they normally make. While the Warriors won against the Pelicans without Stephen Curry, Barkley was not happy.
And the reason was that New Orleans blew a long lead against a Golden State team that was struggling. “I’m not gonna overreact. That was embarrassing for the Pelicans. There’s no Dejounte Murray and Trey Murphy. Man, they got Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson, and CJ McCollum,” Barkley said, as many things seemed to upset him, because he is right.
