The Claude 3.5 Sonnet model has been noted for its superior performance compared to other publicly available models. It excels in the SWE-bench Verified benchmark, which assesses the model’s ability to solve real-world GitHub issues. Additionally, it achieves a top score of 93.7% on the HumanEval benchmark, demonstrating its prowess in writing accurate Python functions from natural language prompts.

The integration of Claude 3.5 Sonnet into GitHub Copilot offers several practical applications for developers:
