Chicago Bulls’ Zach LaVine reveals x-ray results after injury scare

The Chicago Bulls’ Zach LaVine will not be sidelined for long in the 2024/25 NBA season, despite getting hurt during a 102-99 victory over the Orlando Magic, requiring x-rays, on Wednesday, October 30.

Fortunately the results returned negative and he is working through some shoulder discomfort, with his role against the Brooklyn Nets on November 1 currently unclear. But even if he misses that game, he will be back soon after.

LaVine posted 11 points and 10 rebounds at the United Center as the Bulls defeated their Floridian rivals in Match 5 of the season, whilst his averages for the campaign are 26 points and 5.5 rebounds as he continues to be a core component of the team.

The Bulls will hope he’s back sooner rather than later after already suffering a set back to Lonzo Ball as he returned after two years. Injuries and disruptions could threaten to hold back the franchise’s potential, despite them already sitting third in the Eastern Conference with a 3-2 record.

Bulls coach confident after win

Despite trailing 68-54 at half-time, the Bulls produced the form they were associated with throughout the 1990s to come back and stun the Orlando Magic at the United Center in the Windy City.

In light of that, the team’s head coach revealed he’s very impressed with their shot selection and reaction to trailing by 14 points at half-time, praising his side for being able to keep up with the pace of the game in the 102-99 win.

“The bench was huge in the middle of third quarter,” Billy Donovan said as per NBA.com. “We [were] taking care of the basketball. I thought we generated good shots. I thought we responded and reacted a lot better in the second half.

“The pace of the game was really fast. Nikola and Zach played a lot of minutes in that first half. I felt like if we could get back into the game we’re going to need those guys. I went with those bench guys. They really did a tremendous job. All of them played very well.”
