Things did not work out for Mike Williams in New York with the Jets, especially after the team traded for Davante Adams,Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target during his career and that ultimately did not help.
Now, the wide receiver looks to reset after being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers and he will try to retake his career to the standards that he had when he was with the Chargers in Los Angeles.
He has also identified what was the problem in the Big Apple, after theorizing that his rehab from an offseason ACL reconstruction prevented him from working out with Rodgers the time that was needed to have success.
He had a “cool” time
Mike Williams was a in New York for a short while but he said that it was “cool” to be there despite being with the Jets only for nine games after signing a one year deal with the organization back in March.
The 30-year-old was called out by Aaron Rodgers for running the wrong route that led to an interception during Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills. He admitted that him “not being able to transition in as quick is probably what went wrong.”
Williams appeared in every game but started in only three. He had only 12 receptions on 21 targets with the team for 166 yards and now everyone expects him to have a better run with the Steelers.
