The Texas Tech Red Raiders will run Patrick Mahomes-inspired uniforms against the Colorado Buffaloes in a bid to pull off an upset by defeating Coach Prime’s team on Saturday, November 9 in the Big Noon Kickoff.
Designed by the Kansas City Chiefs‘ quarterback, the customized jerseys will be produced by Adidas and will feature the three-time Super Bowl champions’ gladiator logo as he continues to venture into the fashion industry.
Fans can expect to see a grey base colour that looks as though it’s worn down, offering a rustic feel that will make the players seem as though they’ve already gone through a war, whilst highlights of silver shines to show the number, team name and some logos too.
“Seeing my own logo on the Texas Tech uniform I put so much blood, sweat and tears in is one of the most meaningful off-field accomplishments of my career,” Mahomes said to media, announcing the collaboration.
Texas Tech vs Buffaloes preview
The Red Raiders, who the 29-year-old played for in college, will look to stop the marching force of Shedeur and Travis Hunter at the Jones AT&T Stadium with the pair being led by the charismatic Deion Sanders.
The Buffaloes enter the contest with a 6-2 (4-1 conference) record from Folsom Field whilst Texas Tech have a 6-3 (4-2) record ahead of the clash in their pursuit of a bowl game, which will be aired live on FOX Sports.
Fans can catch the action from 16:00 ET/13:00 PT, with the Buffaloes are currently the favorites for the win, backed at -185 compared to +155 for the Raiders.
Will Coach Prime and his boys deliver on the road or will Joe McGuire send the home fans and Patrick Mahomes away with a smug smile on their faces?
