Randi Mahomes, the mother of NFL star Patrick Mahomes, has turned again to fans, asking for support and prayers as her father battles health challenges. Back on September 29, she shared a touching photo of herself watching the Kansas City Chiefs game beside her father’s hospital bed, a moment that highlighted her dedication to both her family and her team.
Randi first shared news of her father’s hospitalization in September, choosing not to disclose specific details but asking for positive thoughts. Since then, she has continued to keep fans updated, relying on their encouragement as she navigates this difficult time.
“Had the best day visiting my dad.. please keep him in your prayers to get stronger #blessed,” she wrote on Tuesday.
Mother passed away
This situation comes just months after a previous family hardship. In 2023, Randi lost her mother, Debbie Bates, who had faced ongoing health issues.
The loss has made this current struggle especially challenging, as Randi feels the absence of her mother while now caring for her father.
Randi’s social media often showcases her close-knit family, sharing glimpses of her children-Patrick, Jackson, and Mia-and her grandchildren, Sterling and Bronze.
Her relationship with her father, Randy Martin, a former educator who spent over three decades as a principal, is particularly special.
Randi, previously married to former MLB player Pat Mahomes, has remained single since their divorce years ago. Their marriage ended while Pat was still active in his baseball career, but despite the split, both Randi and Pat have maintained a strong co-parenting relationship.
They frequently attend events together, especially when it comes to supporting their children, and they have made a point to put family first, ensuring their divorce doesn’t impact their support for their kids.
