The NBA legend is no stranger to the music business: he’s a well known DJ and has four studio albums on his record, with some major hits such as “What’s Up Doc? (Can We Rock)”, “(I Know I Got) Skillz”, and “No Hook.”

But his latest music talent got fans shocked. Diesel posted a video on Instagram where he gets down and ‘plays’ the piano covering a Brian McKnight 1997 massive hit “Anytime”.
Fans were quick to notice that “Dr. Shaq” (one of O’Neal’s personas) was not actually playing the piano. “Bruh… at some point your foot needs to hit one of those pedals at the bottom.” wrote an Instagram user.
“You almost had me with the first 3 notes.” wrote another user. Not all IG users joked about O’Neal’s skills, though. Some were delighted with the former Los Angeles Lakers performance. “Yes Baby! Sing it my big brother!” wrote one of his fans. “Yes, you do cross my mind, darling.” commented another person.
Some users even offered to show O’Neal how to actually play the piano. He might even have a new stage name when the time is right, with one IG user referring to the NBA legend as “Shaq McKnight.”
Whatever path O’Neal decides to follow in his piano playing career, we are sure that he would have success. After all, it’s not everyday that you see a 7’1 piano master.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver had a good laugh at Shaquille O’Neal’s recent comments about the quality of play in the league. He playfully zinged the Hall of Famer, saying, “There was so much diversity in Shaqi’s game, I can’t believe he said that.” It was all in good fun during Silver’s appearance at the Paley Center for Media’s International Council Summit.
Shaq had expressed his thoughts on the current state of the NBA on a recent episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, where he mentioned that TV ratings were declining because every team seemed to be running the same plays. He specifically pointed out the prevalence of 3-point shooting, saying, “I don’t mind Golden State back in the day shooting threes, but every team isn’t a 3-point shooter. So why [does] everybody have the same strategy? I think it makes the game boring.”
