Steph Curry‘s resurgence with the Golden State Warriors has produced some astonishing viewership numbers as over 2.14 million people tune in to watch the ace three-point shooter take on the Boston Celtics.
The 36-year-old clashed with the defending NBA champions at the TD Garden in Massachusetts and put up 27 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in a 118-112 victory on November 7 which maintained his side’s early contention in the Western Conference.
And it turns out that countless fans across the world tuned in to watch the star take on Jayson Tatum, with Front Office Sports reporting over two million people watched the match on ESPN – encouraging news in an era where NBA audiences are trending downwards.
Additionally, 2.14 million people also flicked on their television sets to watch Curry’s Warriors take on Klay Thompson and Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks on November 12, a clash which the Californians won 120-117.
The four-time NBA champion posted an incredible 37 points in the contest and backed it up with nine assists and six rebounds, proving that he’s still got it at the back end of his career on November 13 as the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup began.
One user wrote in response to the numbers, via X.com (formerly Twitter), “The face of the league even at 36.”
Whilst a second commented, “This is why Steph Curry is the best player of this generation. Not even close.”
And a third noted, “And yet yall wanted to argue about him not having an era. He’s the face of the damn league LMAOO.”
Who do the Warriors play next?
