With less than a month to go until the 2024 NFL Draft, March leading into April is not an ideal time for questions to emerge around a blue-chip prospect. But Jayden Daniels, the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback for the LSU Tigers, has been the subject of widespread concern this week after an image of his throwing elbow went viral, causing fans — especially those who cheer for a team picking in the top three — to worry about his long-term health and stability.
Daniels, though, does not seem to have any such concerns, especially after a successful Pro Day on Thursday. He has clearly seen the discourse surrounding his golden right arm, and on Friday, he took to X (formerly Twitter) to clear the air ahead of the most important night of his life.

Daniels is bored: Stop lying, my elbow is fine
In an eight-word post on X, Daniels called on fans and analysts to “stop the cap” — to stop lying — about the viral image of his elbow, which appears to show it protruding or sliding out from under his arm. The 23-year-old said his arm is “perfectly fine” despite the concerning photograph.
Some have claimed that Daniels is suffering from bursitis in his throwing elbow — a common but painful condition in which fluid-filled sacs called bursae become inflamed. The pain stems from the proximity of these sacs to bones and tendons near a person’s joints.
So far, no other medical red flags have risen around Daniels’ elbow or otherwise. He made 55 starts in his college career between LSU and Arizona State, and nothing has suggested that he will not be a top-three pick in the draft next month following his historic 50-touchdown season in 2023.
