This week’s Monday Night Football features the Texas classic between the Cowboys and the Texans, and Jerry Jones’ boys have one more chance to get out of a crisis that has made them the laughing stock of the NFL. The Lone Star was left without Prescott and the Texans arrive at a crucial moment if they want to continue with playoff aspirations.
Texans have the offense to damage the Cowboys
CJ Stroud and company are trying to right the ship after two consecutive losses, the most recent of which was a second-half collapse against the Detroit Lions, and they have a lot at stake next Monday as they work to improve their 6-4 record. It’s the Battle for Texas, also known as The Governor’s Cup, and all eyes will be on it.
On the other hand, the Cowboys are a bag of problems, the team has no rhyme or reason. Mike McCarthy can be assured that he will be unemployed at the end of the regular season, but in the meantime, he must try to find improvement and get just the fourth win, something that would not minimize the terrible campaign in Dallas.
Where to watch Texans vs Cowboys and schedule
- Date: Monday, November 18
- Time: 7:15 p.m. CT
- Venue: AT&T Stadium (Arlington, TX)
- Where to watch: ESPN and WFAA 8 DFW (in Dallas)
- Commentators: Joe Buck and Troy Aikman
The odds favor the Texans by 3-1 and with Dallas’ injury plague and the fact that the ground attack is almost non-existent with Rico Dowdle, Zeke Elliott and Dalvin Cook, the statistics do not lie and it is very likely that the Cowboys will suffer their seventh loss in a year to forget.
