To clarify, the NFL recognizes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the 2020 champions after Tom Brady’s win over Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in that year’s Super Bowl.

There are indeed some similarities, as well as another set of statistics that point to the Pittsburgh Steelers reaching the Super Bowl. However, there’s still a long way to go this season before we can confidently say that the Chiefs will emerge as champions and become the first team to achieve a three-peat. It should also be noted that the Bills’ win made Josh Allen the favorite to win the MVP award and moved Buffalo to within one game of the Chiefs in the standings, making the competition tighter than ever.
