Tom Brady and Bill Belichick break down what makes Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen great

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen became the hero of his team Sunday night when he scored a touchdown on fourth-and-2 with 2 minutes and 17 seconds left in a much anticipated game against the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs.

Allen has a record of 4-1 against the Chiefs on the regular season but 0-3 in the playoffs, which makes some experts believe that he hasn’t proven himself against one of the best teams of the decade and against probably one of the greatest quarterbacks of the century, Patrick Mahomes.

However, Allen’s heroic play didn’t go unnoticed to the greatest quarterback of all time and Fox Sports senior NFL analyst for Tom Brady, who praised the Bills quarterback during his intervention at the “Let’s Go” podcast this week along with his former head coach, Bill Belichick.

“He’s making good quality decisions. Managing the game. Not putting your team at risk on every single play… It’s like, one good play, one bad play, one good play, one bad play. And everyone’s like ‘oh, I love the physical potential of this’. And I’m like ‘well, I don’t like the fact that every time he does something well, four plays later he does something that’s not good.’ And that’s too hard to overcome.” said Brady.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion also talked about some of the qualities that makes great quarterbacks at the NFL, including making good and great plays consistently well over the course of a game. “Everybody in the NFL makes plays, everybody can make a great play, can run fast, can jump high, can catch the ball, can make tackles. It’s how often can you do it?”

Brady said that the consistency is what determines how great a player can be. “If it’s really great, and really bad, you’re average. But if it’s really great, and good, or great, great, great, great, well then you’re a great player.”

Bill Belichick mentioned the fact that Josh Allen is really hard to stop and that he’s able to make plays in the fourth quarter. “He’s gonna be hard to defend for other teams and he’s gonna rise to the ocassion.”
